This is the evergreen tree for you. Birds love this tree for cover in the winter because few predators can get inside of the dense foliage. Native to 36 states the Eastern Red Cedar Tree grows just about anywhere, and in a variety of soil types.  A row of Eastern Red Cedar Trees make an excellent privacy hedge.
